'Dreams' Story Code '67320' by Deborah Pratt

28th February 1979: Sam leaps into Lieutenant Jack Stone, as the police officer and his partner, Pamela Roselli, discover the gruesome corpse of Janice DeCaro. As Roslli gets the woman’s terrified children to safety, Sam confronts the killer, the victim’s husband Peter, and only just manages to stop the man from blowing his own brains out. As the murder investigation progresses, Sam finds himself affected by the experience, and he experiences terrible nightmares in which he sees himself drenched in blood. Al is understandably concerned, especially when Sam starts believing that he is possessed by part of Stone’s mind. Al reveals that Sam has changed history by saving the killer’s life – and that in two days time, Jack Stone will be eviscerated by Peter. In his confusion Sam turns to Peter’s psychiatrist, the unsettling Doctor Mason Crane, for help…
